What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?
Knoxville's momentum is undeniable, and the future is bright. We're poised to become a national model for thriving communities. A stronger K-12 system will empower our next generation, while the University of Tennessee rockets to even greater heights as an innovation hub. By prioritizing affordable housing, we'll ensure everyone can share in our success. And with enhanced greenways weaving through our city, Knoxville will be a haven for a healthy and connected lifestyle.
What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?
The secret's out! People are flocking to Knoxville from all over to experience this incredible place. But what truly makes our community special? It's the people, without a doubt.
What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
We as a community should be finding innovative ways for nonprofits and businesses to work together to solve social problems.
What is your favorite Knoxville memory?
Running the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon and then crossing the finish line at the iconic 50-yard line of Neyland Stadium.
What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?
I'm currently reading The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz & Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver
What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?
Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered" - Lyle Irish, CEO, East Tennessee REALTORS® I've interpreted it to mean, while it's good to be ambitious and successful, being overly greedy or reckless can lead to negative consequences in business or personal affairs.
What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Be you, the world can adjust. Dream big! Plus, it only gets better from here.
