Since 1993, Introduction Knoxville has played a key role in connecting leaders in new management positions, newcomers to our community and lifelong residents ready to plug in.

  • Each class lasts six weeks.
  • Classes are offered in winter, spring and fall with approximately 50 participants per class.

TIME COMMITMENT

Introduction Knoxville is a six-week program that meets once per week. The first five classes are 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and the final class is 4-8 p.m. The class is offered in the winter, spring and fall.

TUITION COST

Introduction Knoxville tuition is $2,250, which includes materials, transportation, meals, speakers and venues. Employers often fund participant tuition from continuing education or professional development budgets.

REGISTRATION INFO

Registration is available year-round for upcoming classes offered in the winter, spring and fall. Class size is limited and filled in order of registration date and receipt of tuition payment.

You! This series is for people in new roles or new to our region or anyone ready to get involved. You don’t have to be new. Intro Knox is an ideal way for mid-career professionals to connect with our city and it’s great for lifelong and new residents alike. Learn about our history and culture and discover the organizations, institutions, resources and venues that shape Knoxville. The six-week program involves one class per week. The first five classes are 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and the final class is 4-8 p.m.

All over town. Sessions are held in a variety of unique locations to acquaint class members with Knoxville’s treasures.

Our weekly Intro Knox sessions will vary and may include field trips, tours, networking, speaker sessions and plenty of opportunities to connect with area leaders.

Session topics include history, education, business, entrepreneurship, regional vision/partnerships, quality of life, volunteerism and arts and culture.

Now. Registration is always open for upcoming classes offered in the winter, spring and fall. Class size is limited and filled in order of registration date and receipt of $2,000 tuition payment. Please hold the dates and times of all six sessions on your calendar upon registering.

Introduction Knoxville tuition is $2,000, which covers materials, transportation, meals, speakers and venues. Limited scholarships may be available for non-profit organizations, however, scholarship approval and/or availability is not guaranteed.

Since 1993, Introduction Knoxville has offered participants ranging from newcomers to native Knoxvillians with a fascinating insider’s look at our community. In six sessions, you will connect with approximately 50 other professionals and community-minded citizens. Intro Knox is designed to give attendees a more complete understanding of Knoxville along with a better sense of how to put leadership into action to positively impact the community and the organizations in which participants work.

Everyone! Individuals get exposure to local leaders, issues and opportunities to get involved, as well as inspiration through learning about Knoxville’s history and current landscape. Participants can foster new friendships, ideas, networks and perspectives from a diverse group of people within our community.

Organizations can offer Intro Knox to employees as a unique way to enhance operational training and a way to recognize and reward top talent. It also shows your organization’s commitment to serving Knoxville. It can introduce employees to all that Knoxville offers and connect them with a valuable network that can enhance new opportunities and visibility for your business. Sponsoring companies also receive local recognition for their dedication to professional development in the community and gain valuable business connections through an employee’s participation.

Yes! Introduction Knoxville graduates are invited to join the Alumni Association, which offers opportunities for ongoing engagement, networking and connection with community leaders and participants from all Leadership Knoxville programs. Our alumni become part of an ever-expanding network of leaders that graduates can engage with on both a professional and personal level.
