What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?
Over the next 10 years I envision Knoxville as a leader in economic innovation while remaining rooted in its sense of community. Leveraging and strengthening partnerships with Oak Ridge National Labs, Y12, UTK and community colleges. Also, that Knoxville will remain a city where everyone feels they belong and small business flourish.

What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
To strengthen Knoxville, I would focus on building deeper connections between education, workforce development, and community growth. I believe in the power of partnerships - linking local schools, colleges, and industry to create more pathways for students and adults to succeed right here at home. I would champion opportunities that support small businesses, expand access to training, and invest in underserved areas so that every resident feels included in Knoxville's future.
What is your favorite Knoxville memory?
One of my favorite memories from Knoxville is the time I spent working on "the Strip" while attending the University of Tennessee. It was more than just a job - it was a part of life filled with energy, laughter, and unforgettable friendships. The buzz of game days, late-night conversations, and the shared experience of balancing work, classes, and life created a bond with people who are still part of my story today. That time taught me resilience, connection, and the joy of finding your people.
What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?
The Tenant - Freida McFadden
What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?
Burt Magovero, Branch Manager at Prudential Securities, was an exceptional mentor who profoundly influenced my leadership journey. As his Operations Manager, I learned the critical difference between being a boss and being a true leader. One of the most impactful pieces of advice he gave me was to always be fair and consistent in every decision - and to treat all team members with equal respect, regardless of their production levels or leadership roles. Burt instilled in me the importance of equipping my team with the tools and support they need to succeed, and he taught me never to take credit for their accomplishments. His guidance shaped the leader I strive to be today, and I remain deeply grateful for the lessons he shared
What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Don't be afraid to reach for the stars, while also taking the time to enjoy life.
