What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?
Knoxville will be the city known for cross-pollination. When bees decide to fly out of self-pollination, they enter a world of greater possibilities. Bees that cross-pollinate have the ability to introduce positive traits to the plants and even help flowers fight against disease. In 10 years, my vision is for Knoxville to be filled with cross-pollination by harnessing our character, collective talents, and passions to transform our city into a shining example of what's possible when a community decides to embrace differences and work as one.
What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?
Knoxville's best kept secret is how many people are willing to jump in and lend a helping hand.
What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
Create a way for each part of our community to engage together in consistent and meaningful ways.
What is your favorite Knoxville memory?
My favorite Knoxville memory is experiencing the birth of my three children alongside my bride.
What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?
Bible, Three Little Buses, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership
What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?
You can't have it both ways. ~ Melvin Jackson Jr.
What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Seek first the Kingdom. You become what you behold. Therefore, behold the best the world has to offer. You are the sum total of the company you keep. Be sure to choose your company wisely and wait for your queen. Never let your gifts take you where your character cannot keep you.
