What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?
Knoxville is a great city. I would like to Knoxville to continue to be a thriving city that serves as a model to other cities across the country. Knoxville is a city that is rich in culture that should continue to showcase its arts, technology, and lifestyle.
What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?
Knoxville has so many "bests" it is hard to limit to one. Knoxville's public spaces are first-class. Whether it is a bike road, trip down the lake, walk on the greenway, tennis match, ball game, historical walk to go back in time, or simply relaxing in a swing by the river. Knoxville has something for everyone.
What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
I think communication is key to strengthening the Knoxville Community. Communication builds understanding and encourages different perspectives. Honest and open communication can create a sense of belonging and stronger communities.
What is your favorite Knoxville memory?
My favorite memory of Knoxville is the 1982 World's Fair. Both of my parents worked at the Fair. I would often go with them on weekends and while they were working, spend the day learning about different people and places of the world.
What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
