What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?
For Knoxville to retain its unique characteristics but also embrace what changes come throughout the next ten years. I have heard Knoxville described as a "Goldilocks" city--not too big, not too small--just right.
What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?
It's not a secret--but Lakeshore Park is my favorite place in all of Knoxville.
What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
With my job in the criminal justice system, we have to continue to keep our community safe while working in the prevention sphere to make a bright future for the young people in our county.
What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?
Persuasion by Jane Austen is my favorite book
What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?
Hugh Nystrom has always impressed upon me the importance of a hand-written note or card.
What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Keep taking on new challenges. Even if you fail, you will always learn a lot and meet people that help you grow and change.
