Knoxville 2036 remains a gateway city that embraces the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains, delivers opportunity for growth and prosperity, celebrates a spirit of pride, and values the importance of being a wholesome community.

I often forget just how close Knoxville is to the many amazing offerings within our National Park.

I believe everyone deserves to have a good roof over their head, and I would love to increase the accessibility to affordable housing for all members of our community.

My all-time favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. Currently on the nightstand is The Anxious Generation.

Dr. Jim Hendrix, retired head of The Lovett School in Atlanta, told me that leading a school is like driving a car. Your primary focus is on the road's horizon; check your mirrors from time to time, but don't dwell too long on what's behind you; don't ignore your dash indicators, especially the check engine light; obey the traffic laws, keep the school between the lines, and you'll make it safe and sound.
