What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?

I believe Knoxville will lead with service, investing in people, innovation, and vision - a city where every voice is valued, and unity across neighborhoods, backgrounds, and beliefs shapes a stronger, more inclusive future.

What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?

Across East and North Knoxville especially, there are everyday heroes - barbers, pastors, teachers, and coaches - mentoring youth, holding families together, and preventing violence. Much of this work goes unrecognized but is life-changing.

What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?

I would thrive to inspire consistent work of all people investing in the underprivileged and incarcerated - proving that real change doesn't start in headlines, but in relationships, restoration, and second chances.

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

I have too many to count, but they all reside inside Neyland Stadium! Go Vols!

What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?

Currently: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero. One of my favorites: Battle Cry, by Jason Wilson

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

Pastor Daryl Arnold, my spiritual father, once said that "character is proven in adversity. It's not if I can be trusted with success but can I be trusted with troubles. The most valuable thing in life is relationships. The only difference in me will be a result of the books I read and the people I meet."

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

Slow down. Do not miss the moment chasing the dream. Live life on purpose for purpose - and say less. Think more. Ask more questions you don't know it all. Lastly, there is value in all people. Circumstances do not define a person's worth or character.
