What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?

I would like for Knoxville to be the premier mid-size city in the SE United States. Knoxville will be recognized not only as the gateway to the mountain regions surrounding us, but a safe and economically resilient community.

What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?

The amazing people that live and work here.

What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?

I would invest heavily into the core of Knoxville's downtown to become a magnet for small to mid-size conventions and events. Although it is already in this space significantly, additional hotel and meeting space is needed. A heavy investment must be made in our neighborhoods and roads as well- sidewalks, parks, streets, additional community centers.

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

Seeing the mountain views that Knoxville offers from so many places as I assimilated to my new home.

What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?

Rainbow 6 - Tom Clancy

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

If you want fair, go to Sedalia, otherwise, get to work and make things happen. Sgt. Mike Arndt - KCPD Tactical team

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

Join the US Marine Corp.
