What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?
My personal vision aligns with the Foundation I serve. I envision a strong, healthy community by embracing everyone as created in the image of God, who deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I envision Knoxville as a place where people are not just individuals but a community of neighbors caring for one another.
What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?
Chez Guevara Restaurant. It is a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant that doesn't need promoting. It is worth the wait to stand in line for a tasty meal.
What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
I would encourage neighboring and lead by example. Healthy relationships create healthy neighborhoods and a healthy city.
What is your favorite Knoxville memory?
I have enjoyed many Broadway shows at the Tennessee Theatre. These memories have brought our family together to celebrate special occasions and holidays.
What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?
Ted Dekker's Circle Trilogy
What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?
A very special friend told me while we were pastoring that every need was not my calling.
What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
You will survive and emerge stronger. Never give up!
