What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?

My vision is Knoxville as a diverse community where we Love Our Neighbors, continue our strengths in the arts, nature, neighborhoods, and great festivals and restaurants, with more even distribution of wealth and more UT national championships.

What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?

RB Morris.

What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?

Reduce or eliminate generational poverty and homelessness.

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

The birth of my daughter. My wedding. When the Lady Vols beat the US National Team in basketball in 1999 on Kara Lawson's game winning shot.

What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?

The books currently on my nightstand are Dad, I Want to Hear Your Story. The More Than Complete Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy. Seven Pillars of Servant Leadership. Justice for Marcus Garvey.

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

Stop drifting and get a job. My father.

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

Figure out what you want to to do, and work on ways to get there. Be realistic, but be patient as well. Let time unfold.
