That Knoxville continues to lean into what makes it unique, which in my view is a place that is eminently livable yet punches far above its weight culturally given the spillover from UT, Blackberry, etc.

The secret is getting out, I suppose, but I'd say JC Holdway. I travel for work quite frequently and it is as good as any restaurant anywhere!

I'd say continue to cultivate the cultural renaissance of the past decade. I'm not sure if there is much to do about it, but the lack of east/west thoroughfares is an issue. While I'm not a civil engineer by any stretch, I do wonder if some strategically placed roundabouts in place of stoplights might improve traffic flow.

Favorite would be too hard to pick, but currently on nightstand is The Adaptability Quotient by Alec Litowitz

Don't be afraid to follow your interests, even if they point you in seemingly unconventional directions. I have done a decent job of that (which is how I got to Knoxville!) but I think there was room to do even more on that front.
