What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?
I want Knoxville to be what it has been for me and my family--a place that has afforded me the opportunity to transform the trajectory of my life, both personally and professionally. I want more of those opportunities for more people. Knoxville will do it, because it is doing it!
What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?
The food scene in the city has really become something special!
What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?
Our city is exploding with new people and new money. I would like to see increases in affordable housing for younger people/families. Additionally, I would like to see investments in bolstering our public transportation system and education programs.
What is your favorite Knoxville memory?
Building my first home in 2014.
What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?
Courage is Calling" by Ryan Holliday
What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?
Good leaders win hearts. Don't ever lose the heart of your team. Don't be a loser! -- Dean Gann (my first boss and lifelong friend)
What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Every man must be able to stand in the shade of another man while being able to create his own shade. Be your own man, but not the only man...
