What is your vision for Knoxville 10 years from now?

My vision is a more diverse and inclusive Knoxville, where every community feels represented and respected, and where candidates for public office lead with integrity, unity, and solutions rather than divisive rhetoric.

What is Knoxville's Best Kept Secret?

Knoxville's best-kept secret is its breathtaking fall season, the crisp air, vibrant foliage, and colorful landscapes making the city and surrounding mountains feel especially magical.

What would you do to strengthen Knoxville?

I would strengthen Knoxville by creating more transparent pathways to funding, influence, and capacity-building for emerging nonprofits, community leaders, and underrepresented voices so opportunity and impact are not limited to just established networks.

What is your favorite Knoxville memory?

What is your favorite book or what book is currently on your nightstand?

The Bible of course; Children of Blood and Bone (Tom Adeyemi)

What is the best advice you have received from a mentor, and who was that mentor?

The best advice I received was, "Just read the book," rather than asking someone how to do something. My mentor, the President and Owner of SIM&S, Inc., hired me during graduate school and introduced me to consulting, a career I never knew existed.

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?

Never dull your shine to make others comfortable. Trust your voice, stay grounded in who you are, and lead with clarity, purpose, and peace. Your gifts are meant to serve, inspire, and help others shine too.
