Lorie Matthews leads Leadership Knoxville’s Consulting & Training division. A Knoxville
native with a Master’s in Conflict Management (Lipscomb University) and a background in
Family & Human Development (University of Tennessee), Lorie brings deep experience in
facilitation, strategic planning, and community leadership.

Cultivated through roles at U.S. Cellular, Leadership Knoxville, and service on community
boards, Lorie’s work is rooted in servant leadership-helping groups refine vision, set
pricrities, gain consensus, and generate engagement. She has supported emerging and
senior leaders across sectors and enjoys designing creative, dialogue-rich experiences
that produce practical results.

Community involvement has included service with the Historic Zoning Commission,
Downtown Design Review Board, and Downtown Knoxville Alliance. Lorie and her husband
David live downtown and are active in the Knoxville community.
